We are the largest primary school in Manchester, England, UK. We are starting an international connections project across our whole school and wonder if you would visit our site at http://year5.chorltonparkblogs.net/ to give us some extra information about your class and school. We have 90 children in each year group and would love to establish some links with classrooms across the world working on projects together! We could link you with our year 6 classrooms if they are the same age as you-10 and 11 yrs. Hope to hear from you soon. Mrs Serina Khan- Chorlton Park Primary School
Our school is close to the ocean in Cape Town, South Africa. We have roughly 130 pupils aged 5 - 15 (Grades R - 9).
All our lessons are in English but the children also receive four hours a week of Afrikaans (A local South African language, stemming from Dutch)
We have a nice mix of boys and girls from differing backgrounds, races and religions. The subjects we offer are: English, Afrikaans, Maths, History, Geography, Science, Technology, Computers, Life Orientation, Art, Music and Economic Management Science.
My name is Miss Tyler-Smith. I am their English teacher.
I am also their Art teacher as well as Head Of Department for the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4 - 6).
The goal of my teaching is to foster self-confidence, independence, a passion for knowledge and creativity.
